We Did It!

Preliminary figures are in, and it looks like our 16th Annual benefit was our most successful to date! We raised more than $225,000 and the money is still pouring in. It’s raining $10s and $20s and then some!

And the best part? One hundred percent of the money raised goes directly to breast cancer research. We don’t take one penny off the top. How many charities can say that? And mean it!

October 6th is 16th Annual Benefit!

October 6th is right around the corner and it marks the date of our 16th Annual benefit!

Susan Wornick, WCVB-TV, will once again Emcee our event and help us honor two amazing women, Lorraine Salter and Didi Fisher Weinreb. Both women have done extraordinary work on behalf of the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund while undergoing treatment at the MGH. Both will be speaking at the event, which includes a Casino Night of gaming, silent and live auctions and much more.

If you don’t have tickets for this fabulous evening at the Pine Brook Country Club in Weston, MA, email Missy at mcfyffe1@comcast.net to get yours! Tickets are $150 each and 100% of the money goes to breast cancer research. Seriously! One hundred percent of the money we raise goes directly to research. We don’t take a penny off the top!

So, grab your tickets, take a roll of the dice and meet some amazing people! It’s a night you can bet on!

This year, we’re honoring two fabulous women who are not only breast cancer survivors, but they are dynamos! They boost awareness and raise funds where ever they go! Please join me in congratulating Lorrane Salter and Didi Fisher Weinreb on this wonderful honor!

Stow Women’s Club Raises Over $2300

Thanks to the Stow Women’s Club, the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund can now add a Walk-A-Thon to our growing list of successful third party benefits!

On a gorgeous Saturday this June, the Stow Women’s Club walked from Stow, MA, to Concord, MA, in an effort to raise $1000 for our fund. They were so successful in their first endeavor that they garnered more than $2300 for the fund, and the checks are still coming in!

Our 16th Annual ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund benefit is in the works and we don’t want you to miss a minute of the fun! Emcee and Auctioneer Susan Wornick of WCVB-TV will be on hand to kick off the festivities and join us in celebrating our Co-honorees - Didi Fisher Weinreb and Lorraine Salter - two women who have turned their experiences with breast cancer into beacons of action and hope for the New England community!

So, mark your calendars! You won’t want to miss this incredible night!

15th Annual Benefit a Success!

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the 15th Annual Cards for a Cure benefit raised over $120,000 for breast cancer research at the Massachusetts General Hospital! In addition to gaming tables, tee shirt sales, and a silent auction, Susan Wornick of WCVB-TV raised a significant portion of the donations through our live auction, making this year’s event, one of our most successful.

Special guests of the evening included Dr. Peter Slavin, President of MGH, Dr. Kenneth K. Tanabe of MGH, William F. Leisman, III of Leisman Insurance and, of course, Susan Wornick. For more pictures and information, please follow us on facebook!
